EARLY LIFE AND CAREER

Joan Celia, better known as JC, is a New York City native, born in April 1950, who was supposed to be an older sister to Jan Lee. Sadly, Jan died three days after birth.

Growing up with a father like Stan inspired Joan to become an artist and land small on-screen roles, including the 1963 film, “The Cool World” and “The Ambulance.”

In 1994, she became the voice behind the 1994 “Iron Man” animated series robot, until working with her father at Marvel.

However, JC was put under negative light in recent years as a short-tempered woman who was spending excessively and finishing her father’s estate.

Her temper was said to have affected how she brutally treated her parents during their last years on earth. According to Stan’s former business manager, Bradley J. Herman, JC physically hurt both her parents.

He claimed to see her push her mother, Joan, and shove Stan’s head against a wheelchair. Both father and daughter denied the allegations.

JC DENIES THE ALLEGATIONS

JC revealed that her mother was very sick at that time and took heavy medication that may have played with her thoughts.

The clip featured several Marvel stars, including Robert Downey Jr., Lupita Nyong’ o, Chris Evans, and Angela Bassett.

Stan stood by his daughter and said, “I mean, she’s my daughter. I’m her father. Sometimes we may disagree about something. But we disagree on things as I did with my wife,” he said.

JC eventually sued Herman for the false allegations he said in the podcast, “Stan Lee’s World,” which aired after his passing.

Apart from his false allegations, JC noted that Herman stole from her father and forged Stan’s signatures to obtain loans, which was later a cause of his dismissal from the company.

According to the court documents, Herman’s lies ensued from his anger at JC for firing him from his position at Marvel.

LEE SPEAKS ABOUT HIS DAUGHTER

Before his passing, Lee spoke about his daughter positively. “I’m pretty [expletive] lucky. I love my daughter. I’m hoping that she loves me, and I couldn’t ask for a better life,” he said.

He also revealed that he entrusted JC with much of his fortune for her enjoyment in life. Although they have had some discussions about finances, it was never a problem.

Stan had a $1 billion suit against POW before he died, with claims that he was taken advantage of through fraudulent schemes.

The suit was revived after he died as his only heir investigated his father’s intellectual property that POW may have taken.

POW Entertainment released a statement that called the whole incident “nothing more than family drama.”

They also noted that the courts would be in their favor with regard to the case. Meanwhile, JC had attorney Jonathan Freund representing her.
