Mitch Georgiades slotted his fourth goal on the half-time siren to extend Port Adelaide’s lead to a commanding 44 points over the struggling Western Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval.

Captain Marcus Bontempelli finally slotted the Dogs’ first goal early in the second term, but the Power, who led by 32 points at quarter-time continued to boss proceedings.

The Bulldogs’ dark day went from bad to worse when forward Aaron Naughton substituted out of the match with concussion.

Port defender Brandon Zerk-Thatcher will face the scrutiny of the match review officer for the incident, his stray elbow 40m off the play forcing a bleeding Naughton off the ground.

Tom Liberatore did his best to lift the Bulldogs out of the middle but the visitors still have no answers for Connor Rozee, Zak Butters and Ollie Wines have racked up 64 disposals between them.
