Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left “shocked” and “horrified” over the couples forced to battle it out in this week’s dance-off as the spoiler for week nine has been revealed.
The Sunday results show isn’t broadcast on BBC One until this evening, but eager fans can find out who has been eliminated early as a spoiler is always leaked online ahead of time.
The Strictly Spoiler account on X (formerly Twitter) releases the result of the dance-off every week before the Sunday show and this week’s outcome has left avid viewers stunned.
The Blackpool special was full of surprises and high-energy routines, with several couples scoring perfect 10s in the iconic ballroom. But not all viewers were happy with the judges scoring on the night and have complained it forced the wrong couple into the dance-off.
The statement from The Strictly Spoiler reads: “Strictly took the annual trip to the seaside however whilst 6 of our couples will be returning for the business end of the competition, The Tower Dungeon instead awaits one of our couples. But who is in the dance off? No need to wait for the BBC to tell you when there is the internet. So here are the results.”
YorkshireLive has chosen not to name the couple who will not be returning to the dancefloor next week, but many fans have taken to social media to say they agree with who was sent home but while the “right result” was made, the bottom two came as a shock.
Unhappy viewers have blamed the judges poor scoring for forcing a fan-favourite couple into the dance-off and claimed this had swayed the votes of the public.
We have omitted names of the dancers below to avoid the results being spoiled.

@RyanTheSoapking said: “The correct result! X needed to go home now. As for X I’m shocked! X deserved 10s tonight. It just goes to show that the judges ain’t scoring fairly and this is now effecting the overall results. Week 10 is going to be interesting.”
@LeahXBarnes added: “I’m absolutely fuming who was in the dance off when X was way better than other one ffs.”

@storey_carolyn said: “Thank god the right person goes at last!! Disagree with the other person in the bottom two, should have been X or X.”
@edwardclothier1 added: “Shocked about X in dance off, still think X will get to final as I think X will still get more than enough votes and I love X. X or X to go next week, although it wouldn’t surprise me if X’s in the dance off again.”
The official result will be confirmed on BBC One and BBC iPlayer tonight at 7.20pm. In the meantime here’s a reminder of how the couples scored on Saturday night.
