FT: Melbourne Storm 34 d Brisbane Broncos 32

Warbrick jumped up and pulled in the Broncos last ditch attempt at a high kick and the Storm are home 34-32.

Huge effort from them in the final 10 minutes to win the game but the Broncos were very brave to stay in the contest despite losing leader Adam Reynolds to a lower hamstring injury.

Hughes was vital for the Storm as was Mam for the Broncos while the tries from both sides will be watched plenty more times after tonight.

Both clubs look to be contenders again.

Te Kura scores on debut, Broncos still in it

Ben Te Kura has scored a try on debut and kept the Broncos alive with just two minutes to play.

The 205cm prop powered over and Staggs kicked the conversion.

MEL 34, BRI 32 with two mins to go.

Hughes extends the lead

Hughes kicked it high and Coates kneed it forward over the try line and Hughes, who had chased his kick, was first to the ball and scored the try.

What a finish this has been from the Storm.

Wishart gives Storm the lead

Tyran Wishart has forced his way over and touched the ball down to tie the scores.

Wishart was always confident, despite it being called no try on the field.

But the video review showed he got the ball down.

Meaney converted the try. Storm have the lead.

MEL 28, BRI 26 with five mins to go.

Staggs kick a penalty goal

The Storm will need a try to level the scores after Staggs, with blood dripping into his eyes, kicked a penalty goal to make the lead four points.

Staggs has a cut on his head that the bandages haven’t completely stemmed.

BRI 26, MEL 22 with nine minutes to go.

Arthars drops it over the line

Arthars had what could have been the game-sealing try for the Broncos but the pass bounced off his chest just as his legs went over the line.

The Storm have been given a life on that play.

BRI 24, MEL 22 with 15 mins to go.

Broncos turn to Oates

The Broncos have thrown Corey Oates into the game for the last 20 minutes.

The towering winger will look to give his side a boost of energy at both ends as they try to hold on to this lead.

He has made a difference right away helping force an error from the Storm just 20 metres from their own line.

BRI 24, MEL 22 with 17 minutes to go.

Warbrick scores

The Storm built pressure on the defence and finally turned it into a try with Papenhuyzen throwing a perfect wide pass to winger Will Warbrick who ran in for the try.

He celebrated by taking a bite out of an invisible burger.

Meaney converted the try from the right sideline.

BRI 24, MEL 22 with 59 minutes gone.

Crowd tonight is 20,698 people

Melbourne Storm have attracted a third-straight 20,000 strong crowd to AAMI Park with 20,698 turning up for tonight’s Thursday clash.
