WA regulator investigates separate workplace deaths on horror Wednesday

Investigators from the state’s work safety watchdog are reviewing the deaths of two men in separate incidents on Wednesday that occurred just two hours apart.

A man in his 20s was fatally injured shortly after midday at a concrete manufacturing facility in Dalwallinu, about 240 kilometres north of Perth.

The incident, which is understood to have involved a forklift, was attended by police.

Two hours later, a 32-year-old man died at a construction site about 15 kilometres south of Perth in O’Connor.

It is understood he was crushed while working in the basket of an elevating work platform.
